Sundance announces doc funding

The Sundance Institute has confirmed that 11 factual projects will benefit from The Cinereach Project, a US$1.5m, 3 year initiative for the development and production of documentaries and features.

This is brilliant news for not only documentary filmmakers, but narrative feature films with themes that evoke global cultural exchange and social impact, and projects representing emerging and innovative voices selected for their unique and personal storytelling.

Some of the projects selected to receive funding include Yelling to the Sky, from writer-director Victoria Mahoney and Here, from director Braden King.
