This is a great opportunity from Film London, who are giving 10 people the chance to get training experience within film and TV archiving. You will learn how to preserve and archive footage to ensure it is accessible to future generations. The trainees will receive paid work in the form of a highly structured programme of the industry over a 12-month period. It is on the job learning at its best where you get to work with two archive employers, alongside teaching sessions in a residential setting. BBC modules that can be accessed by everyone are available online for free, yes it really is 100% free! The courses range from 30-100 minutes and you are encouraged to complete all modules for each course. There are only 14 courses available across different fields but by completing a course it will look good on your CV, especially if you’re applying for a job at the BBC!
